Definition of RWD site vs Mobile dedicated site :
Reponsive web design site is a web page which is design in the way that it can apply to different size of the devices, meaning from the computer to the mobile phone. Content is rearrange according to the device which is used. Everything is adapted to the viewing environment, by saying everything I mean the layout of the device.
Mobile dedicated site are only design for website, they are not rearrange according to the different devices. For example contents are created and adapted only for Mobile phones.
What are the key differences? - List at least 3 :
* RWD is not really adapted for content compared to Mobile dedicated site because sometimes it is hard to adapt or rescale tables or spreadsheet to the different devices.
* RWD are easier to find thanks to a search engine compared to Mobile dedicated website I mean for Mobile website they have different URL from the main website so it is quite harder to find them on search engine
* Concerning Mobile site you need to manage two website, the mobile and the main website so it brings much more work when we want to update news for example compared to RWD as this is the same website which is only adapted to different versions.
What is the relationship between great mobile users experience and direct booking ? Explain why ?
Now people are looking for booking hotels for example directly from their mobile phone and it needs to be easy for them. If for example, their are going on a website which is not adapted to mobile devices it will be hard for them to find information or even to book rooms and they will change for another website which is better structured because they do not want to loose time.
If users are friendly with the fact of booking through mobile website and if it is adapted to their expectation they will spend a good experience. Website definitely need to be adapted to mobile phone otherwise users will find it too hard to use and they will go visiting another site.

Concerning their performance criteria, navigation is really easy for both website version and Mobile version, actually website are really well done. It is easy to use for searching for booking a room or even looking at the information of the hotels.
In fact, both hotels and both websites are really adapted for mobile mostly Mama Shelter because people can have quick access to contact they can call directly from their phone. There is also a map where it is well explained where is the hotel and clients can directly have an itinerary from their mobile phone. Concerning Le Meurice this is quite different because first it is part of the group so we see many different hotels even on Le Meurice official website so this is quite harder to find informations about the contact or even a map we can feel lost in the scroll menu but if we stand on the first page we can find the phone number and a map such as Mama Shelter.
For both hotels you can book easily through the mobile phone, only need to click a button and booking is fast.
For accessing the different sections this is really easy for Mama Shelter everything is well presented but concerning Le Meurice the scroll menu is not really easy to use because we can find the different hotels of the group so people may feel lost.
About the booking engine of Le Meurice is really easy to access, this is on the first page and we have a clear description of each rooms with many pictures whereas the booking engine of Mama Shelter is not really easy to use actually this is quite complicated, it took me few minutes to understand how to book, in addition the description is not really well develop and not easy to find but there are some pictures.
About the offers for the mama shelter it is just on the booking page but too much writings whereas offers are well presented for Le Meurice and better explained.
The design of both mobile site are really good and attractive, it is easy to understand with many pictures so we feel these hotels are really good. Mostly Mama Shelter is really interesting because there are many pictures, articles or even clients feedbacks but the target market is quite different so they cannot have the same design of mobile site.
To conclude about the changes i would do to improve customer experience, concerning the Mama Shelter the Mobile site is well design, everything is clear maybe they could add some fun things which could differentiate themselves from others so people could book directly what they want to eat or special services through the mobile site. About Le Meurice there are some changes which could be done concerning the scroll menu, because the fact of having other hotels can be confusing for guests.
